Not Bellissimo: A Personal Review of Plastic Surgery, Scars, and Regret

Welcome to Not Bellissimo. I share my deeply disappointing experience with Pittsburgh plastic surgeon Jeffrey Antimarino following a facelift and breast implant reduction. Discover what you need to know before choosing a surgeon.

Plastic surgery can be life-changing—in good ways, and sometimes, in very painful ways. This site, Not Bellissimo, exists because of my experience with Jeffrey Antimarino of Bellissimo Plastic Surgery & Medi Spa, a name that shows up frequently when searching for Pittsburgh plastic surgeons. But for me, the results were not “Bellissimo”—they were devastating.

I underwent a facelift and breast implant reduction hoping to walk away looking refreshed and feeling confident. Instead, I was left with disfiguring scars, chronic pain, and emotional damage that still lingers. My goal is simple: to provide a real plastic surgery review so that others can make informed, cautious decisions.

Facelift Surgeons: Why Scars Matter More Than You Think

Scars are not just marks on the skin—they are a surgeon’s signature. Talented facelift surgeons know how to hide scars in natural contours, under hairlines, and along creases. What I received from Jeffrey Antimarino was something far from subtle.

After my facelift at Bellissimo Plastic Surgery, I was left with visible scars that were almost impossible to conceal. Even worse, the position of my earlobes was distorted, and now I experience discomfort every time I smile—a constant, painful reminder of the botched procedure.

I wanted my facelift to be a secret. Instead, it became a statement: “I had my facelift done in the back of a van.”

Breast Implant Reduction Gone Wrong

In addition to the facelift, I had requested a breast implant reduction. I was clear about my expectations and desired outcome. Like many women, I hoped to return to a more natural silhouette and find relief from the weight of overly large implants. Unfortunately, the breast reduction surgery performed was uneven and poorly executed.

Even though breast reduction is considered routine among plastic surgeons in Pittsburgh, my results were anything but acceptable. Now I not only feel betrayed—I feel altered in a way I never agreed to.

Pittsburgh Plastic Surgeons: Do Your Homework

There are many reputable plastic surgery practices in Pittsburgh, and I’m not here to generalize. But I strongly encourage anyone considering plastic surgery in Pittsburgh to do their research—deeply. Don’t just read online reviews. Ask to see healed results. Speak to former patients if you can. Question the marketing around terms like “minimally invasive,” and always prioritize safety over glamor.

If I had known what I know now, I would have explored other options and asked harder questions.

What to Know About Bellissimo Plastic Surgery & Medi Spa

Bellissimo Plastic Surgery & Medi Spa, operated by Dr. Jeffrey Antimarino, is marketed as a high-end provider of aesthetic surgery. Their website promotes a variety of procedures including:

Facelifts

Breast augmentation and reduction

Body contouring

Non-surgical treatments

But my personal experience with Bellissimo Plastic Surgery did not reflect the polish or professionalism suggested on their Website. What I received was a painful, disfiguring result, followed by scar revision surgery that still didn’t solve the problem.

Plastic Surgery Review: A Patient’s Perspective

This site is not about revenge—it’s about real-life consequences. Plastic surgery should never be entered into lightly, and it should never leave someone in physical pain or emotional distress.

I provide photos, medical documentation, and personal reflections in hopes that my transparency can protect someone else from the same regret.

Final Thoughts: Before You Go Under the Knife

Plastic surgery should empower, not harm. Unfortunately, my experience with Jeffrey Antimarino and Bellissimo Plastic Surgery & Medi Spa turned what should have been a private confidence boost into a very public scar—both literally and emotionally.
